What is FOFIF?
FOFIF stands for "The Future of Finance Is Female." We are an organization focused on empowering women in finance, particularly through education, leadership, investing, and career development.

FOFIF exists to:

Close gender gaps in financial literacy, investing, and leadership in the finance industry.

Support and build communities of women in finance, including students and professionals.

Educate and inspire young women to take control of their financial futures and pursue careers in finance.

Highlight and address disparities in:

Leadership roles (only 24% of leadership positions held by women in financial services as of 2021).

Earnings (women earn $0.82 to every $1.00 earned by men in 2025).

Investment participation and business school enrollment.

Most importantly provide accessible, always free resources for girls, young adults, and women everywhere.

letter from the founder
Hi! My name is Selina Curnutt, and I am a senior at Greenwich Academy in Greenwich, CT.
I plan to pursue a major in Economics in college, with the goal of combining my interests in finance and education. At school, I run the peer tutoring program for math, helping to create a supportive environment where students can strengthen their skills and build confidence. Outside of the classroom, I dedicate time to volunteering over the summer to expand access to quality education for younger students.

I am especially passionate about empowering girls to engage with finance and economics, and I hope to use my studies and leadership experiences to inspire others to explore these fields with confidence and curiosity.
This website is one way I hope to share the resources I’ve been fortunate to access with a broader community of people who may not have the same opportunities. Thank you to everyone who has supported me in making this possible—I am so grateful and excited to see the impact we can create together!
